bighorns
Rocky Mountain sheep
Bighorns are wild sheep native to the mountainous regions of western North America, named for the large, curved horns on the males.
The animals are prized by hunters and have become symbols of rugged wilderness.
Bighorn also names places where these sheep are found: the Bighorn Mountains, the Bighorn River.
