berber
Looped pile flooring
A berber is a type of carpet with a looped pile and flecked appearance, typically in neutral colors.
The style takes its name from traditional North African weaving: We chose a berber for the basement because it hides dirt well.
The loops can snag, so it's not ideal for homes with pets. (Capitalized Berber refers to the North African people and their languages.)
