high pile
Thick carpet texture
High pile describes carpet or fabric with long, raised fibers that create a soft, plush texture.
The pile—the upright loops or tufts that form the surface—stands taller than in standard weaves: a high pile rug, high pile fleece.
High pile materials feel luxurious underfoot or against skin but tend to trap more dirt and show wear patterns.
