behaviourist
Stimulus-response psychologist
A behaviourist is someone who studies or practices behaviourism—the psychological approach that focuses on observable actions rather than internal mental states.
Behaviourists hold that all behavior is learned through conditioning and can be measured scientifically: Behaviourist training methods reward desired actions rather than punishing mistakes.
The spelling is British; American English uses behaviorist.
