bass staff
F clef notation
The bass staff is the lower of the two staves in standard musical notation, marked by the bass clef (𝄢) and used for lower-pitched instruments and voices.
Piano music typically places left-hand parts on the bass staff, while the right hand reads from the treble staff above.
Also called bass clef staff.
