basepath
Runner's prescribed course
Basepath has two main applications.
In baseball, the basepath (or base path) is the direct line between bases that a runner must stay within to avoid being called out: The runner strayed from the basepath and was tagged.
In computing, a basepath is the root directory or URL from which other file paths are calculated: Set the basepath before referencing relative links.
