barbershop chorus
Close harmony singers
A barbershop chorus is a large vocal ensemble that performs in the barbershop style—four-part a cappella harmony with close intervals and characteristic "ringing" chords.
Unlike a barbershop quartet (four singers), a chorus may have dozens or hundreds of members, with multiple voices on each part: lead, tenor, bass, and baritone.
The barbershop chorus competed at the regional convention.
