backward design
Goals before methods
Backward design is an approach to curriculum planning that starts with the desired outcome and works in reverse.
Rather than beginning with activities or content, educators first identify what students should learn, then determine how to assess that learning, and finally plan instruction accordingly.
The method emphasizes alignment between goals, assessment, and teaching: We used backward design to ensure every lesson connected to the final project.
