background talent
Unnamed crowd members
Background talent refers to performers who appear in film, television, or theatrical productions without speaking roles or individual focus.
These are the people populating crowd scenes, walking past on streets, or dining at neighboring tables—visible but anonymous.
The industry also calls them extras or background actors.
