axehead
Haft's cutting partner
The axehead is the cutting part of an axe—the heavy metal blade that attaches to the handle.
It includes the sharpened edge and the eye (the hole through which the handle passes).
Axeheads are among the oldest human tools, and ancient stone versions are common archaeological finds.
