autosaves

Software remembers progress

Autosaves is the plural of autosave—automatic saves of a document or game state performed by software at regular intervals.

The feature protects against data loss from crashes or power failures: I lost some work, but the autosaves got me most of it back.

Also used as a verb in third person: The program autosaves every five minutes.
