atypicals
Not the norm
Atypicals is shorthand for atypical antipsychotics, a class of psychiatric medications used to treat schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and other conditions.
They're called atypical to distinguish them from older "typical" antipsychotics, having different side effect profiles: The doctor switched him from a typical to one of the atypicals.
