anti-tourism
Against mass travel
Anti-tourism is opposition to tourism or its effects on local communities, environments, and cultures.
The stance ranges from grassroots movements protesting overcrowding and rising housing costs to personal rejection of tourist-heavy destinations: Barcelona has seen anti-tourism graffiti appear in recent years.
Some use it to describe travel that deliberately avoids popular sites in favor of authentic local experiences.
