anal probe
Extraterrestrial abduction tool
An anal probe is an instrument inserted into the rectum, either for medical examination or, in popular imagination, as a device used by aliens during abductions.
The medical sense is straightforward—a tool for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes.
The extraterrestrial sense dominates in jokes and science fiction, where getting anally probed has become a stock element of alien abduction stories: The aliens took him aboard and gave him the ol' anal probe.
