air mile
Loyalty program unit
An air mile is a unit of distance used in aviation, equivalent to a nautical mile (about 1.15 statute miles or 1.85 kilometers).
More commonly, air miles refers to loyalty program credits earned through airline travel or credit card purchases, redeemable for flights, upgrades, or other rewards: I've been saving air miles for a trip to Japan.
