air drying
Letting moisture evaporate
Air drying is letting something dry naturally through exposure to air rather than using heat or mechanical means.
Clothes can be air dried on a line or rack instead of tumbled in a dryer.
Hair that's air dried is left to dry after washing rather than blown dry.
The method is gentler but slower: I'm air drying these sweaters so they don't shrink.
