air dam
Bumper airflow deflector
An air dam is a panel or spoiler mounted beneath a vehicle's front bumper to reduce airflow underneath the chassis.
By blocking air from passing under the car, it decreases aerodynamic drag and can improve fuel efficiency, cooling, and high-speed stability.
Air dams are common on sports cars and performance vehicles: The racing team added a larger air dam for better downforce.
