abstractor
One who condenses
An abstractor is someone who prepares abstracts—condensed summaries of longer documents.
The term appears most often in real estate, where a title abstractor researches property records and compiles abstracts of title showing the chain of ownership: The abstractor found a lien from 1987 that hadn't been released.
Also spelled abstracter.
