XP

Earned through gameplay

XP is gaming shorthand for experience points—numerical units that track a player's progress and accumulate toward leveling up or unlocking abilities.

The term has spread beyond games: I'm getting some XP in the kitchen means gaining real-world skill through practice.

In tech contexts, XP may refer to Windows XP, Microsoft's long-lived operating system released in 2001.
