Waldenbooks

Defunct bookstore chain

Waldenbooks was an American bookstore chain that operated primarily in shopping malls from the 1960s through the early 2000s.

At its peak, it was one of the largest booksellers in the United States, alongside rivals like B.

Dalton and Crown Books.

The chain declined with the rise of superstores like Barnes & Noble and online retailers, eventually closing its remaining locations around 2011.
