Tudor House

English historical architecture

A Tudor house is a style of domestic architecture characterized by steeply pitched roofs, decorative half-timbering with stucco or brick infill, tall chimneys, and mullioned windows.

The style originated in England during the Tudor period (1485–1603) but the term now typically describes Revival homes built in the early twentieth century that imitate these features: The neighborhood is full of Tudor houses with their distinctive black-and-white facades.
