The Golden Girls

Elderly sitcom quartet

The Golden Girls is an American television sitcom (1985–1992) about four older women sharing a house in Miami.

The show broke ground by centering women over fifty and addressing aging, sexuality, and friendship with humor.

The title has become shorthand for close female friendships in later life: We're like the Golden Girls, just younger.
