The Odd Couple
Unlikely pair cohabiting
A mismatched pair—two people with clashing personalities or habits who find themselves living, working, or associating together.
The phrase comes from Neil Simon's 1965 play about fastidious Felix and slovenly Oscar sharing an apartment.
It now applies broadly to any unlikely duo: My roommate and I are such an odd couple—she's a neat freak and I'm a total slob.
