Buzzcocks
British punk pioneers
Buzzcocks is a British punk rock band formed in Manchester in 1976, known for blending punk energy with pop melodies and introspective lyrics about love and desire.
The name combines *buzz*—slang for a pleasurable high—with *cock*, yielding a vaguely suggestive compound that captured punk's irreverent spirit: Have you heard the new Buzzcocks record?
