Texas leaguer

A Texas leaguer is a weakly hit fly ball in baseball that drops between the infielders and outfielders for a base hit—too deep for the infield, too shallow for the outfield.
The term carries a lucky or undeserved connotation: He got a Texas leaguer that scored the winning run.
Also called a Texas League single or blooper.
