T9 texting is a method of typing on phones with numeric keypads, where each number key corresponds to multiple letters.
The system predicts words as you press keys once per letter rather than cycling through options.
T9 stands for "text on 9 keys." The technology was standard before touchscreen keyboards: Back in the T9 days, you could text without looking at your phone.
