Stan Lee

Superhero comics pioneer

Stan Lee was the writer, editor, and public face of Marvel Comics who co-created Spider-Man, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, and many other iconic superheroes.

His cameo appearances in Marvel films became a beloved tradition.

Lee's name is sometimes used attributively for bombastic promotional style or collaborative comic creation: a very Stan Lee approach to hype.
