Scion

Defunct Toyota marque

A scion is a descendant or heir, especially of a wealthy or prominent family: a scion of the Kennedy dynasty, the dissolute scion of a banking fortune.

The word carries connotations of inherited privilege and expectation.

In horticulture, a scion is a shoot or twig cut from one plant to graft onto another—the original meaning from which the "heir" sense grew.
