Sandman

Mythical slumber sprite

Sandman appears as a proper name for specific fictional characters, most notably Neil Gaiman's comic book figure who rules the realm of dreams, and various superheroes in Marvel and DC comics.

The name also belongs to the 1954 song "Mr.

Sandman" and several films. (Lowercase sandman is the folkloric sleep-bringer.)
