Rialto
Grand Canal crossing
Rialto is the historic commercial district of Venice, Italy, centered on the famous arched bridge spanning the Grand Canal.
The name has been borrowed for countless theaters, cinemas, and entertainment venues worldwide, becoming almost synonymous with grand old movie palaces: The Rialto downtown is showing classic films.
Rialto is also a city in Southern California. (Lowercase rialto means a marketplace or theater district generally.)
