Rh positive
Common blood type
Rh positive describes blood that carries the Rh factor, a protein on the surface of red blood cells.
Most people are Rh positive.
The designation matters mainly in blood transfusions and pregnancy—an Rh negative mother carrying an Rh positive baby may develop antibodies that attack the fetus's blood cells in subsequent pregnancies.
