Rennes
Brittany's main city
Rennes is a city in northwestern France, capital of the Brittany region.
Historically a Breton stronghold, it became French in 1532 when Brittany was unified with France.
The city is known for its medieval half-timbered houses and as a university center: We spent a week in Rennes exploring the old town.
