Quay
Stone waterfront platform
A quay is a solid wharf or landing place where ships dock to load and unload cargo or passengers.
Unlike piers that extend into the water, quays typically run parallel to the shore with deep water alongside: The fishing boats were tied up at the quay.
Pronounced "key" or sometimes "kay."
