Porthos
One of three
Porthos is one of the three musketeers in Alexandre Dumas's 1844 novel, alongside Athos and Aramis.
Of the trio, Porthos is the largest and most boisterous—a lover of fine food, wine, and ostentatious display.
The name evokes swashbuckling loyalty and jovial bravado: He fancied himself a Porthos, always ready for adventure.
