Panic Room
A panic room is a fortified space within a building—typically a home—designed as a refuge during emergencies like home invasions or natural disasters.
Also called a safe room, it features reinforced walls, secure locks, and often communication equipment and supplies.
The term gained currency after the 2002 thriller film of the same name.
