Benjamin Button

Born old, dies young

Benjamin Button refers to the title character of F.

Scott Fitzgerald's 1922 short story, a man born old who ages in reverse.

The name now describes anyone or anything that seems to grow younger over time or defy normal aging: She's pulling a Benjamin Button—looks better at fifty than she did at thirty.

The 2008 film adaptation popularized this figurative use.
