Orange Revolution
Kyiv's 2004 protests
The Orange Revolution was a series of protests and political events in Ukraine from late 2004 to early 2005, triggered by disputed presidential election results.
Supporters of Viktor Yushchenko adopted orange as their color and gathered in Kyiv's Independence Square, ultimately forcing a new election.
The term now serves as shorthand for peaceful mass protests against electoral fraud: Will we see another Orange Revolution?
