Olivia de Havilland
Olivia de Havilland was a British-American actress whose career spanned from Hollywood's Golden Age into the 1980s.
She starred in *Gone with the Wind* and won Academy Awards for *To Each His Own* and *The Heiress*.
Her successful 1943 lawsuit against Warner Bros. weakened the studio system's control over actors' contracts, establishing that studios couldn't extend contracts to punish suspensions—a ruling still called the De Havilland Law.
