Obamanomics
44th president's policies
Obamanomics refers to the economic policies associated with President Barack Obama's administration (2009–2017), particularly the response to the 2008 financial crisis.
Critics coined the term, often disparagingly, to characterize policies they viewed as favoring government intervention, regulation, and spending: Obamanomics has burdened small businesses with red tape.
Supporters used it neutrally or positively to describe stimulus measures and healthcare reform.
