Nazi art

Third Reich propaganda

Nazi art refers to art produced in or approved by Nazi Germany (1933–1945), characterized by idealized depictions of Aryan bodies, classical forms, heroic soldiers, and pastoral German life.

The regime rejected modernism as "degenerate" and promoted art serving propaganda purposes—monumental sculptures, romanticized landscapes, and images glorifying the state.

The term now describes art with similar fascist aesthetics or nationalist ideology: The mural had a Nazi art quality to it.
