A Mission burrito is a large flour tortilla wrapped around rice, beans, meat, cheese, sour cream, and salsa—distinguished by its size and the inclusion of rice.
Named for San Francisco's Mission District, where the style originated in the 1960s, it became the template for American burrito chains: I'll have a Mission burrito with carnitas and extra guac.
