Margaret Sanger
Margaret Sanger was an American activist who founded the birth control movement in the early twentieth century.
She opened the first birth control clinic in the United States in 1916 and established the organization that became Planned Parenthood.
Her advocacy for contraception was radical for its time, though her association with eugenics remains controversial.
