Mad Libs

Story completion game

Mad Libs is a word game where players fill in blanks without knowing the story they'll complete.

One person asks others for words by part of speech—"Give me a noun," "Give me an adjective"—then reads the resulting absurd narrative aloud.

The humor comes from the mismatch between random words and their context: We filled out Mad Libs on the road trip and couldn't stop laughing.
