MOTD
Login welcome text
MOTD is an acronym for "message of the day," a brief announcement displayed to users when they log into a computer system, game server, or online service.
System administrators use MOTDs to communicate important updates, maintenance schedules, or community announcements.
The convention dates to early multi-user computer systems but remains common in gaming and chat platforms.
Check the MOTD for server rules before playing.
