Levittown

Mass-produced housing community

Levittown is any of several planned suburban communities built in the United States after World War II, most famously on Long Island, New York.

The name has become shorthand for postwar American suburbia—rows of nearly identical affordable houses marketed to returning veterans and their families.

The whole neighborhood looked like Levittown.
