Kokomo
North of Indianapolis
Kokomo is a city in north-central Indiana, the seat of Howard County, known historically as an industrial and manufacturing center.
The name gained wider cultural recognition through the Beach Boys' 1988 hit song, which describes a fictional tropical paradise rather than the actual Midwestern city.
We drove through Kokomo on our way to Indianapolis.
