King Street
Monarchically named thoroughfare
King Street is a common street name found in cities and towns throughout the English-speaking world, particularly in areas with British colonial heritage.
The name typically honors a reigning monarch, though which king varies by location and era.
Many King Streets occupy historically significant commercial or civic corridors, often intersecting with a Queen Street.
The parade route runs down King Street to the waterfront.
