King Minos

Labyrinth's royal commissioner

King Minos is a figure from Greek mythology, ruler of Crete and son of Zeus and Europa.

He commissioned the labyrinth to contain the Minotaur and demanded tribute of Athenian youth to feed the beast.

His name lives on in Minoan civilization, the Bronze Age culture centered on Crete that archaeologists named for him.
