J-bars
Slope transport hooks
J-bars are J-shaped metal devices used in skiing to tow skiers uphill.
The skier straddles the bar, which hooks behind the thighs and pulls them up the slope while their skis remain on the snow.
Also called J-bar lifts, they're typically found on smaller slopes and beginner hills: The bunny slope had a J-bar instead of a chairlift.
