I-495

DC's orbital highway

I-495 designates several major highways in the United States Interstate system, most notably the Capital Beltway encircling Washington, D.C., and the loop around Boston known as Route 128.

Like other Interstate numbers with the "I-" prefix, it appears in traffic reports and directions: Take I-495 to avoid downtown.
